International audienceThe "beige sands" of North-West Morocco are aeolian sands which form a single geological unit. They can no longer he considered simply as a pedological horizon. These sands derive from the upper part of former fersiallitic soils. Their deposition, dated between 28 and 10 Kyr, is contemporaneous with the last Pleniglacial and the Lateglacial of Europe.
